| | | El Atajo:
Esta amplia casa canaria, cuya construcción original data del año 1800, se ha convertido hoy en día, en un espacio que conserva el romántico carácter arquitectónico de su época, con sus suelos y techos de madera, antiguos muebles y el típico patio interior. A todo esto hay que añadir las magnificas vistas que tiene hacia el volcán del Teide y la Montaña Tejina desde las habitaciones y la isla vecina de la Gomera desde la terraza. Esta vivienda se convierte en un lugar idóneo para grupos de amigos o grandes familias por todos los rincones y áreas independientes que ofrece.
Construida alrededor de un bonito patio interior se encuentran 2 edificios:
- En el primer edificio se encuentran 2 dormitorios comunicados entre si y a su vez desde un pasillo con cristaleras, una pequeña terraza, salón, baño con ducha y una acogedora y grande cocina.
- En el segundo edificio se encuentra 1 dormitorio con baño en la 1ª planta y otro dormitorio en la 2ª planta. Azotea, barbacoa, cuarto lavadora y TV con satélite. La casa tiene maravillosos suelos y techos de madera y un ambiente muy acogedor.
Justo al lado de El Atajo se encuentra la Casa La Zapatería, por lo que las dos casas juntas son ideales para pequeños grupos.
Está ubicada en el centro del casco antiguo del pueblo de Chío, enmarcado en un entorno sereno, cordial y familiar. Sorprende la agradable luminosidad de la casa, que penetra directa y con fuerza en todas sus estancias, consiguiendo un efecto de tranquilidad inigualable. Cuentan nuestros mayores que fue la primera escuela pública del pueblo. Data del siglo XVIII, cuando popularmente se le conocía por la casa de las Leopoldinas, ya que fueron las primeras maestras del pueblo.
Por aquí pasa una de las carreteras que suben al Teide, por lo cual es un punto de salida ideal hacia las montañas, hacer excursiones por la isla, o montar en Mountan-Bike. También se encuentran muchos supermercados, restaurantes, farmacia, bancos, etc.

This house is most suitable for groups of friends or large families, since it has many corners and independent areas.
The house is composed of a courtyard surrounded by 2 buildings:
- In the first building, 2 linked bedrooms with access to a corridor lined with windows, a small terrace, living room, bathroom with shower and a large and homely kitchen.
- In the second building, in the first floor, 1 bedroom with "en suite" bathroom, and another bedroom in the second floor Terraced roof, BBQ, laundry-room and satellite TV. The house has marvellous wooden floors and roofs and provides a very homely ambiance.
Very near El Atajo, guests will find Casa La Zapatería; both houses together are perfect for small groups.
Environment and situation:
El Atajo is located in the old centre of the town of Chio, surrounded by a calm, friendly and family environment. The house receives direct and strong sunlight in all its rooms, achieving the impression of a unique peacefulness. According to our elders, El Atajo was the first school of the village. It was built in the 18th century, a time when it was generally known as "Casa de las Leopoldinas", the first town teachers.
One of the roads leading to Teide runs through here, an ideal starting point towards the mountains, to make excursions around the islands or mountain bike rides. Guests will also find many supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy, banks, etc.

Beschreibung
"El Atajo", ein wunderschön restauriertes, kanarisches Landhaus, liegt im Herzen des Dörfchens Chío in der Gemeinde Guía de Isora im Südwesten Teneriffas. Von hier aus ist man bergauf in wenigen Kilometern im Nationalpark "cañadas del Teide", bergab in ca. 15 min an einem der sonnenverwöhnten Strände der Südwestküste.
Das Haus bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen, es zeichnet sich durch seine grosszügige Raumaufteilung sowie Dachterrasse und Innenhof mit Grillmöglichkeiten aus. Es besteht aus 4 Schlafzimmern für je 2 Personen, einem grossen und einem zusätzlichen Bad, komplett ausgestatteter Küche und Wohnzimmer.
Kleinere Gruppen bis max. 14 Personen können das Haus zusammen mit dem nebenan liegenden Landhaus "La Antigua Zapatería" gemietet werden.
Anfahrtsbeschreibung:
Vom Flughafen kommend: Ausfahrt Autopista Sur bis Adeje, dann im Kreisel Adeje Richtung Guia de Isora, durch Guia de Isora durchfahren bis zum nächsten Dorf "Chio" (nach ca. 3 km).
In Chio: nach der Apotheke die erste Strasse links, dem Schild "casa rural" folgen, bis zur calle El Atajo, wo sich das Haus auf der rechten Seite befindet (rot-blaues, auffälliges Haus). Hausnr. 11. Die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgt direkt in der Finca.
