Reserva de la Biosfera desde 1995, este pequeño Parque Natural del relieve muy accidentado posee paisajes inolvidables de las sierras blancas, rojas y verdes y acoge en su interior al orgulloso pinsapo, abeto relicto de la última época glaciar, y una de las mayores colonias de cabra montés de la Península.
Casarabonela
Casarabonela es un bellísimo pueblo de pasado musulman y cristiano, enclavado en la Sierra de las Nieves, que conserva buena parte del trazado propio de la antigua Casr-Bonaira, y su herencia musulmana se hace visible en cada rincón de este maravilloso pueblo: sus fachadas blancas, calles estrechas y empinadas. Aún hay el más puro estilo andaluz en sus calles, gentes, costumbres y artesanado.
Venid a conocer su hermosa iglesia, disfrutan de unas fantásticas vistas desde el mirador del Ayuntamiento. Permítanse un paseo por sus estrechas calles engalanadas de flores y después disfruta comida casera de uno de los restaurantes locales.
Hay varios senderos y rutas para investigar los alrededores del pueblo andando.

Reserve of the Biosphere from 1995, this small Natural Park with extremely rugged relief has some unforgettable landscapes of the white, green and red sierras and is home the proud "pinsapo", relict fir from the last glacial period, and one of the Andalusia´s largest communities of mountain goat.
Casarabonela
Casarabonela is a splendid village of Moorish and Christian past in the hart of the Sierra de las Nives, that conserves large part of the original village, Casr-Bonaira, and its Moorish heritage can be seen in every corner of this marvellous village in its white façades, narrow streets and steep slopes, and there is still this pure Andalusian style through its alleys, and in its inhabitants its habits and handcraft.
Come to visit its beautiful church and to enjoy the wonderful landscape from the vew point (mirador) of the town hall. Treat yourself with a walk by its narrow lanes, full of flowers and than enjoy a home-made meal in one of the local restaurants.
There are a number of walking routes to investigate the surrounding of the town by foot.
